Welcome Message from the Board

The 2011/2012 IPEN Board is looking forward to seeing more members and guests at our networking events this year; we are all looking forward to another great year of opportunities to connect with one another and share our industry stories.

It is imperative for all those tasked with planning to have a tool kit of trusted suppliers to collaborate with, to ensure your event is brought to life in a seamless fashion.


As every event is unique unto itself, and with a diversity of planners and suppliers who are all working towards creating their own events simultaneously, life gets busy and we may not get the opportunity to connect for a long time in a natural work setting.


The Island Professional Event Network allows us the opportunity for event-centred professionals to get together on a regular basis. With IPEN as an option, many of us now have the forum to build successful relationships which have created the foundation for great meetings and events.


Historically, IPEN has met monthly, September to June on the third Thursday of each month. We found that many of our members had other commitments on those days, so we have changed our days to the second Tuesday of each month, and we will not be meeting in January this year, as our colleagues get settled back into their work schedules after the holidays. Our first event of the New Year will be our Valentine's Day Social and Product Display featuring our IPEN members. Members and non-members are welcome ... bring your sweetie for Cupid's touch! Please be sure to check in our event listings on a regular basis as more information about each of these events becomes available.


We will look forward to collecting feedback from our Membership with respect to IPEN's progress at the 2011/2012 Annual General Meeting on May 8th, 2012. We will look forward to seeing you there!
